Homeless and unemployed on the Central Coast of California. Staying in an ocean-view room in the Monterey Plaza Hotel, sipping beer and wine and eating lobster bisque and sashimi while listening to live music on the Clement hotel patio, perched over the Monterey Bay on Cannery Row, spying on the Secret Lives of Seahorses at the Monterey Bay Aquarium before heading to Amir's Kabob House where the Monterey County Weekly hosts a going-away party. And we are wearing our "dressy clothes," (a little black dress for me and a yellow linen button-down shirt for Patrick) which will carry us through our non-campfire nights over the next three and a half months. Luckily, fall belongs to the fashion nomad so at least we will travel in style.
